At NutriDogz, we believe that your personal data — and your dog's health data — belongs to you. You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated data at any time, without any questions asked.

This Data Deletion Policy explains:

How you can request deletion of your data

Your Right to Deletion

You have the absolute right to request the deletion of:

✅ All dog profiles and health records
✅ All logged data (weight, glucose, symptoms, medications)
✅ All generated reports
✅ All communication history with our support team
No questions asked. No hidden fees. No delay beyond reasonable processing time.

You can also request partial deletion — for example, deleting a single dog's profile while keeping your main account active.

 
How to Request Data Deletion

You can submit a data deletion request through any of the following methods:

Method 1: From Your Account Settings (Recommended)
Log in to your NutriDogz account
Navigate to Settings → Account → Delete Account
Confirm your password
Choose one of the following:

Delete Account & All Data — permanently removes everything
Delete Specific Dog Profile — removes only one dog's data
Click Confirm Deletion
Method 2: Email Request
Send an email to privacy@nutridogz.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include:

The email address associated with your NutriDogz account
A brief statement requesting deletion (e.g., "I request deletion of my NutriDogz account and all associated data.")
Method 3: Contact Form
Use the Contact Us form on our website and select "Data Deletion Request" as the subject.

Method 4: In-App Request
Tap Help → Privacy → Request Data Deletion within the mobile app.

 
Verification Process

To protect your data from unauthorized deletion, we may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request. This typically involves:

Confirming ownership of the email address associated with your account
Answering a security question
Confirming your password
This step ensures that only you can delete your data — not a malicious third party.

Verification typically takes less than 24 hours. Once verified, your deletion request moves to processing.

All your data is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our servers.

What Data Gets Deleted

The following data will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered:

✅ Your account credentials (name, email, password hash)
✅ All dog profiles and their associated health data
✅ All weight, glucose, insulin, and symptom logs
✅ All generated reports and PDFs
✅ All communication history with support
✅ All app preferences and settings
✅ All device tokens and push notification registrations
Once deleted, this data is gone forever. We cannot recover it, and neither can you.

 
What Data May Be Retained
Section Heading: Data That May Be Retained (Limited Cases)

In rare cases, we may be legally required to retain certain data even after your deletion request. These include:

📜 Financial Records — If you made any payments, we may retain billing records for up to 7 years to comply with tax and accounting laws. (These records do NOT contain your dog's health data.)
🚨 Legal Holds — If your account is part of an active legal investigation or court order, we may retain relevant data until the matter is resolved.
📊 Anonymized Analytics — Aggregated, fully anonymized statistics (e.g., "10,000 weight logs recorded this month") may be retained indefinitely. These cannot be linked back to you or your dog.
🛡️ Security Logs — Basic security logs (IP address, login attempts) may be retained for up to 90 days for fraud prevention.
None of these retained records contain your dog's health data, and none can be used to identify you personally.
